Deserto e Oceano! / Desert and Ocean!

Da Taltal ad Antofagasta La strada sulla costa e’ la piu’ fantastica che abbia mai visto. Si alterna all’inizio del deserto di Atacama che si getta direttamente nell’acqua gelida con le meduse enormi che rimangono a morire sulla spiaggia. E’ troppo bello farsi il bagno con dietro il deserto.
Incontriamo un personaggio strano che ci porta panini, empanadas e un mare di cose da bere, li appoggia sul tavolo dicendo: “Benvenuti in Cile”
Chiediamo il perche’ di quel gesto, perche’ sono cileno, risponde lui!
Il Generale si spara 240 km di deserto dei quali 85 tutti in salita…..sabbia, montagne rosa e rosse e rocce nere, la temperatura si alza a palla appena si abbandona la costa e il Generale tira come un treno poverino e tutti ci salutano e ci guardano sbalorditi quando ci vedono e qualcuno anche qui si e’ offerto di comprare il Generale che come sempre …. non e’ in vendita!
Si continua tra paesaggi spettrali e miniere in uso o abbandonate e tra branchi di cani randagi che spesso ci corrono dietro cercando di morderci….. ( per fortuna puntano prima le gambe di Giuliana)
Mancano 250km circa per San Pedro de Atacama e per la Valle della Luna!
Le cose da scrivere e descrivere sono tante, ma devo andare , il mondo e’ qui fuori e lascio spazio alle foto!

PS: Quasi tutti ci fanno i complimenti perche’ veniamo dal paese piu’ bello e incantevole del pianeta e chi ci e’ stato lo dice con gli occhi lucidi e quasi senza fiato!!!!!!!

From Taltal to Antofagasta. The road on the coast is the most terrific I’ve ever seen. It alternates with the beginning of Atacama Desert that plunges directly into the freezing water with huge jellyfish that remain to die on the shore. It’s to cool to swim with the desert in the back. We meet a strange character who brings us sandwiches, empanadas and a ton of drinks, he puts them on the table and says: “Welcome to Chile”. We ask him the reason of his gesture and he answers: “Because I’m Chilean”. The things to write and describe are a lot, but I have to go, the world is out here and I leave room for the photos!

PS: Almost everyone compliments because we come from the most beautiful and enchanting country in the world and those who have been there tell us so with glistening eyes and almost breathless!!!!
